Chad’s friends, Matt and Laura, are remembering him on their special day. As part of their gift registry, they’ve offered their guests the option of donating to Chad’s cause. As the big day approaches, Chad’s total keeps going up! Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose. ~ Tennessee Williams Chad lives on through his friends and we are grateful for their generosity. |

Since my brother Chad died, I have been thinking about how to carry on what he started. Chad had a lot of goals: to get better, to be there for his friends and family, to travel, to make a difference with his life. None of us could make him well, but I can do this small thing for him. I can make sure that his life makes a difference.
Megan ran the Vancouver BMO Marathon - she hadn’t trained for it, or run farther than 24km before but she figured she could beat Oprah’s marathon time of 4 hours and 29 minutes. She challenged her friends to donate $42 if she finished the 42km in under four hours and 20 minutes. She did it in 3 hours and 43 minutes - just three minutes shy of qualifying for the Boston marathon (her next goal.)
